ABOUT OUR 2016 WINNER: 

Sudanese Spence is the Owner and CEO of Atlanta-based sudiSTYLE, LLC, a premier fashion consulting company specializing in personal, corporate, and event styling services for progressive, power women. Sudanese has been a Wardrobe Stylist for over 10 years, dressing clients for major events, special occasions, photoshoots and every day career and personal lifestyle. With over 7 years of retail sales and personal styling experience for major fashion houses like GAP, Banana Republic, and JCREW, she helps clients determine their unique “sudiSTYLEID,” embrace their best self through fashion, and live everyday fabulous. Her client list includes Angela Simmons, Jessica White, Nicole Alexander, Monyetta Shaw, and other celebrities, entrepreneurs, and corporate leaders. Styling for major events include the Ebony Magazine “Power 100,” Trumpet Awards, Detroit Automotive Gala, National Black Engineers (NSBE) – Golden Torch Awards, the opening of the Smithsonian National African American Museum of History and Culture and other galas and award ceremonies. Sudanese has also developed corporate partnerships with Dillard’s, JCREW and BCBG MaxAzria to host client style previews and “sip and shops” in their Atlanta locations. In January 2016, Sudanese created and launched the “sudiSTYLE Board Experience” and the “sudiSTYLE Transformation Workshop Series” to help women determine their personal style and build a wardrobe reflecting their best self. She is the Lead Curator for “The Art of Fashion Atlanta,” an annual fashion show where amazing fashion designs and creative art collide. This month, Sudanese launched “sudiSTYLE Closet,” a fashion rental service for photoshoots that includes designer fashions, jewelry, accessories, and shoes. 

In addition to personal styling, Sudanese has a passion for the personal growth and development of young women in the Atlanta community. The company supports Wellsprings Living for Girls, a residential program serving young girls who are survivors of domestic minor sex trafficking, through monetary donations and events. In December 2015, sudiSTYLE, LLC sponsored two (2) young ladies for the “To Live and Dream Again” Benefit Dinner as well as raised donations for the center. In March 2016, sudiSTYLE, LLC cohosted the “Pre-Prom Experience” to provide formal wear to teenagers in preparation for prom season. Sudanese was also selected as a guest speaker for the “Upward Bound Program” at the University of Georgia this past summer. 

While her true passion is fashion, Sudanese has managed a progressive, corporate career in Information Technology for over 19 years. She is currently the Global Technology (GT) Senior Director, PMO Governance for a major hospitality company in the Atlanta area. She was recently nominated for the Woman in Technology (WIT) 2016 “Woman of the Year” Award by The Intersect Group. She was a special guest speaker at the 2014 Microsoft Project Conference and is a “Women of Color” Award Recipient for her dedication to her profession and community. Sudanese has a Master of Science in Computer Science from Clark Atlanta University as well as an Executive MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy. Sudanese has successfully used her IT experience to create a lucrative sudiSTYLE brand with a growing social media network of thousands of followers and consumers.
